Welcome to Hill Top Refinishing LLC. By engaging our services or purchasing an item, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before submitting a project or completing a purchase.
We operate the website hilltop.refinishing.org (the "Site"), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (the "Legal Terms") (collectively, the "Services").

The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Services. We recommend that you print a copy of these Legal Terms for your records.
1. Sales of Furniture - All sales are final. All furniture—finished or unfinished—is sold as-is. Due to the vintage nature of our inventory, minor imperfections, wear, or signs of age may be present. These are not considered defects but rather part of each item’s unique history and character.
2. Custom Refinishing Projects - Custom refinishing includes updating or restoring client-owned furniture. A written estimate and service agreement will be provided outlining the project scope, materials, and timeline. Any changes to the original scope may result in additional charges.
3. Payments & Deposits - A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin any custom project. The remaining balance is due upon project completion and must be paid before pickup or delivery. Accepted payment methods include cash, major credit/debit cards, and approved digital payments (e.g., Venmo, PayPal, etc.).
4. Completion Timelines - Project turnaround times vary based on complexity and current workload. Estimated timeframes are provided as a guide but are not guaranteed. Delays due to material availability, weather (for outdoor pieces), or unforeseen repairs may occur.
5. Warranty - Refinished pieces come with a 30-day workmanship warranty, which covers issues directly related to our refinishing process (e.g., peeling finish, separation due to improper sealing).
This warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Damage due to misuse or improper care
Structural issues related to the age of the furniture
Changes caused by environmental factors (e.g., humidity, sunlight)
6. Client Responsibility - Clients are responsible for:
Disclosing any prior repairs, structural damage, infestations (e.g., termites), or chemical treatments
Transporting furniture safely, unless pickup is arranged
Properly caring for the piece after delivery, based on care instructions provided
Failure to disclose known issues may void the workmanship warranty.
7. Liability - Hill Top Refinishing LLC takes great care in handling each piece, but we are not liable for:
Pre-existing damage or degradation
Damage caused during third-party transport
Items left unclaimed for more than 30 days after project completion
Clients waive liability for outcomes resulting from requested techniques or finishes that may not suit the original material.
8. Delivery & Pickup - Delivery and pickup services are available for an additional fee and may be outsourced to trusted third-party providers. Clients must inspect items upon delivery; any concerns must be reported within 48 hours.
9. Sustainability Commitment - By working with us, you support sustainable practices. We aim to reduce waste and preserve craftsmanship by extending the life of quality furniture.
